Due to the continued and consistent growth of our company and our need for a talented and experienced designer, we are in immediate need of the professional service of a Graphic Designer. Graphic Designers create visual concepts, by hand or using computer software, to communicate ideas that inspire, inform, or captivate consumers. They develop the overall layout and production design for advertisements, brochures, magazines, and corporate reports. They design graphics to meet specific commercial or promotional needs, such as logos. Graphic Designers need to be familiar with a variety of tools in order to successfully complete their jobs, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effect, and Adobe Bridge. The candidate will need to know the fundamentals of graphic design, advertising, or related area. The Graphic Designer will be responsible for reproducing or manipulating prepress graphics, design, and layout work in compliance with job specifications. He or she must schedule workloads to meet our customer’s time requirements and have the ability to work independently with or without supervision.
Therefore, we are in immediate need of the professional services of a Graphic Designer to design our marketing materials. Specifically, the hired individual will be responsible for the following duties:
- Help evolve and wield the AmCan brand identity and guidelines; Use Photoshop to create designs for digital marketing, print collateral, ads, presentations, websites, etc.;
- Establish graphic designs that effectively communicate AmCan brands and service as a service solution across a range of media;
- Develop prototypes to uniformly integrate logos and brand images to social media, Instagram, and Email design;
- Responsible for website updates and continuous design refresh. Articulate design ideas from sketches, wireframes, flows, prototypes, and other design artifacts;
- Produce high-quality design and typography to ensure our design is consistent and with brand direction;
- Utilize up-to-date technology and best practices to develop and execute a variety of digital and print illustrations, layouts, and files by designing a rough layout of copy regarding arrangement, size, and style first;
- Stay informed about company services, current graphic design trends and tools, and industry developments that may lead to future communication opportunities;
- Create designs, concepts, and sample layouts, based on knowledge of layout principles and esthetic design concepts;
- Work with other professionals and planners within Amcan to create designs consistent with marketing strategies;
- Review, analyze, and discuss likely appealing designs based on marketing and sales analytics;
- Use computer software, print materials, or other mediums to generate images and graphics;
- Review final graphic design and text design and suggest improvements as needed.
To competently perform these duties, an ideal candidate for this position must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts or a closely related field. This minimum prerequisite for the offered job is in line with our industry’s standard practices and our firm’s hiring history. Our company has hired a Graphic Designer before and always requires the candidate in identical positions to have at least Bachelor’s Degree in Arts or a related field. This requirement and our past hiring history mark this position as a specialty occupation that requires a person of distinguished merit and ability specific to our company’s services.
